poem by me :/ "Caged Spirit" I howl in silence, deep at night, A voice not mine, yet feels so right. This skin, this shape—it doesn't fit, Like borrowed cloth that never knit. The forest calls inside my veins, But glass and steel just echo pain. I dream of paws on softened earth, Of howling skies and ancient birth. Yet every glance, they never see The part that lives and aches in me. They mock the pull I can't explain— This hidden soul, this phantom pain. A tail that twitches in my mind, Wings I lost, but never find. Eyes too wide with feral grief, Craving truth but called "belief." I'm not a lie, I'm not pretend, I'm just a soul I cannot mend. Half in shadows, half in light, A creature trapped, too tired to fight.
